The 54 Strong Scholarship, a program of The Michael Zachary Castillo Legacy Foundation, was established to honor the life and legacy of Michael “Mikey” Castillo, a former All-American football player whose impact extended far beyond the field. Known for his strength, determination and leadership, Mikey believed in pushing through challenges and showing up for others.

The 54 Strong Scholarship supports male student-athletes who demonstrate commitment to their sport, dedication to academics and strength of character. While many sports build physical toughness, this scholarship recognizes that true strength also includes mental resilience, accountability and personal growth.

Through this program we aim to empower student-athletes to pursue higher education, develop leadership skills and carry forward a definition of strength that prepares them for success both during and after their playing years.
